most mot stations will be open on a saturday but probably only the morning unless its the likes of halfords.
holiways on brenda road are doing them for £19.95 at the moment
your only problem might be getting booked in at this late a stage
another option is next to asda in portrack a mot express place has opened you basically turn up no appointment and queue like a carwash system first come first served and i think its open till 8pm or something daft like that

Try Thornville garage in Thornville Road.
Genuine little garage, they do tests only so if you need repairs you have to take your car elsewhere.

Try Tones Renault, on Brenda Road. I hear their mechanics are excellent!

Please be careful when driving any vehicle that has not been recently checked by a qualified mechanic.
