York were absolutely awful in the final yesterday. Oxford just never let them get into the game from start to finish.

You may well be suprised at the budget we're rumoured to be set next season. We've already made one or two decent signings for this league, and if the one's that are still to come in are of similar quality, then I'm confident we'll do "alright" next season.

To be fair, if roles were reversed, I would hazard a guess that a fair few of your supporters would have sung similar songs. It's easy to ridicule in hindsight, as it obviously went tits up for us. For what it's worth, I actually thought Reynolds had the right idea, he just went about it the wrong way and let his ego rule his plans.

I think he genuinely wanted to make a success of it at the start. Like I said, it's when his ego got the better of him that things went wrong.

You can't even put boot sale on without making a bollox of it

If darlow are giving the manager a big budget, which to be fair they probably are in order to have got him to take the job and given some of their signings to date, then it looks like a shit or bust policy to get promoted back into the league at the first attempt and that they'll be doing a Garlands if it doesn't come off.

I always thought they'd planned to hold concerts there but couldn't because of the safety certificate and they lost money over it.

Surely it would have made more sense to start last season with a decent budget, then you maybe wouldn't be playing the dog and duck, would surely be able to generate more money from sponsorship and would be getting more funding as maybe you'd still be in the football league.

Just a thought like.
