Only rumour I have seen is Garlands has closed.

I hope it isn't a total shut down cos thats a lot of people unemployed in one go.

Yes my mother has just told me shes lost her job confised She was there 6 years and depended on it a real shame as she'll struggle getting another job being 5o.

Will they bed entiteled to redundency money?

Dunno the legalities, but I would suspect that if the company goes pop then there's no money to pay redundancy payments with.

Depends on the situation, if they are closing down then something like 1 weeks wage for every year, but if as on the other thread they are in administration I believe the Gubberment may be required to pay out and that can take a while depending on circumstances.

I used to work there myself, used to work with you Chip, I feel sorry for all the people who have lost their job, got plenty of mates who worked there.

Cant imagine it will be easy getting a job in Hartlepool in the next few months.
