I know that realistically we'll probably never grace the top division of English football, but looking at the teams in there for the season just finished there was eight teams in there that I've seen Pools play league games against. And I'm not that old so all of these games must've been in the last 25 years or so.

Ok two of them are being relegated and won't be there next season, but they're being replaced by two more which means that there'll still be eight next season too.

So we CAN dream!

PS. If you reply with anything along the lines of "No we can't with Turner as manager" or similar then you're a prick.

IOR are not in the same scale as Al Fayed, Jack Walker, and Dave Whelan though are they.

Sorry.

My mistake.

Let's have a wander down to the Rich Sugar Daddy Tree and get one, apparently there's loads on there who want to piss millions a year away on HUFC just waiting for the call.

I made my orinigal remark in jest, I know they dont grow on trees and particularly not wanting to pump money into Pools.

The point I was making is that in order for us to reach the top division thats what it would take a huge investiment like DW has made at wigan or what Jack Walker did at Blackburn. So it will never happen, hopefully I am wrong.

God your a crabby apple today Ripper

No, I'm just getting a little tired of all of this uncalled for negativity from supposed supporters.

Cant say I have been that negative, I am happy we have stayed up and think that with the arrival of 3-4 players we can have an 11 that will finish mid-table even playoffs. If we can keep hold of O'Donavan I can see us reaching playoffs easy.

I am a supporter, I feel very negative, not because of the retained list but because the club seems to have forgotten that the fans are part of it and that the current manager hasn't exactly been given no money and a squad filled with shite players. Mid table would have been nice but the useless not nice people couldn't even manage to count to 10 properly between them, or win one of the games that would have guaranteed safety against poor oposition.

Give me a list of reasons to be cheerful or why not start a happy thread posting good news and great things that have happened at HUFC in the last 24 months.
