Jones' agent Peter Morrison confirmed that his client was ready to leave the North East club.

"He has enjoyed his time at Hartlepool but he felt it was right for a change," Morrison told skysports.com.

My judgement based solely on the fact that he is good at football. Others who aren't as good have been retained. You surely get results by having footballers of good ability?

It is the managers job to get the best out players, different characters are in every dressing room a good manager know how to deal with them. You gel on the field, I couldn't give a fook how pally they are in training.

Adam Boyd is another talented footballer who Turner hasn’t got any idea how to get the best out of.

I always liked the fellow from the first time I saw him play against West Brom in the league cup last season but he clearly had issues with Turner and so whilst he's around he was never going to be given a contract.
