Would Brentford prefer to have an away trip to Tranmere or Hartlepool next season?

I don't think it would make that much of a difference to them tbh, footballers and management etc don't think like that in general. Maybe the fans do - but they'll want to just win in front of their home supporters tomorrow before the end of the season.
Typical that they lost their 11 or 12 match unbeaten record last week, that's one omen we could have hoped for

I've just used Google maps and it's 221 miles from Brentford to Birkenhead - not much in it really

The problem is that out of the 81 combinations the one that looks most likely to me is:

Pools L, Gills D, Exeter W, Tranmere W

Tranmere winning we can take as read. Exeter v Huddersfield Reserves and Youth - probably Exeter.

Pools to take a point when under pressure away from home in London - extremely unlikely.

So for me we are left hoping that Gillingham's dreadful away form extends to losing to a team as poor as Wycombe.

Cheers Pools - I'm skint this month and had no intention of going to London on Saturday. Now I have to spend £120 on trainfares and admission to see my team 'fight' relegation again!

The whole point to the clearout at the end of last season was to get rid of the of the gutlessness and cowardice that was displayed at Bristol Rovers.

I've defended the new signings and indeed Turner to the bitter end but I have to say that if this squad don't stand up and perform at Brentford then I believe we may see a Luton style problem - only in this case the home fans will have to defend the away players!

the noises from Hudds players in the media are ones of trying to win and to win well just incase the unthinkable happens. I highly doubt they will be playing youths and reserves

Why do people talk such nonsense?

Huddersfield are the form team in the division. If they finish sixth they are likely to be playing away second leg at Leeds or Millwall. They won't want to be sixth.

If we could have hand picked an opponent for Exeter, Huddersfield at the moment would be high on the list.

They are our biggest hope really.

With the play-offs coming up which one of the Huddersfield players selected will want to commit to any serious challenge when they could get injured?

it's a massive shame that Pools are not our biggest hope

To be brutally honest, we're only going to go through it again next year if Turner is still here

Plus everyone assuming Tranmere only have to turn up and win;

Away record W2 D6 L14

Exactly as shite as Stockport's home record!

Mostly because we saw the shambles that is Stockport only a few weeks ago. Conference level at best.

Tranmere will almost certainly beat Stockport

The only team in the league who would not do that at Edgeley Park tomorrow, would be Pools.

If Huddersfield win and other results go their way they could finish second and go up automatically without the need for the play-offs. Although it isn't very likely it's possible so I reckon they'll be going balls out to try and win by four or five.

Hope that helps.

Huddersfield to win?

Notice who won Manager of the Month for April?

Can Clark beat the curse?

Hudds don't need to win so far as we are concerned, they only need to draw!!
Providing of course Pools don't get thrashed by 6 clear goals... in which case the team deserves to be relegated
