that Pools will end up relying on others to save themselves yet again?
Why is it that, trying to win at Brentford, will be akin to trying to win at Old Trafford?
Why is the manager so mentally weak?
Why are all the players so mentally weak?
Why have I given up on this game as a defeat before a ball has been kicked?
Why will I be proved right, despite people who will now add to this thread by saying things like "keep the faith"?

Dear Jim,

Please help Parmopooly keep the faith and can you fix the result of the Brentford game without the FA and FL finding out.

Yours sincerely

Grabagranny (Aged 80 and a 1/2)

I wanted to reply telling you to stop being so bloody negative and get behind the lads. But have we seem to have a knack of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, never quite taking an opportuinity when it comes along and our manager is not and never will be a motivational bloke.

I'll get behind the team if I go down there on Saturday but I won't be back next year if Tubby is involved.

I know how you feel Mr Parmo. I fully expect nowt on saturday and to see the players in the Mail on friday talk about how it's in our own hands and we all need to stand up and be counted blah blah before rolling over and letting Brentford tickle their tummys, with faultless levels of effort of course.

I am going to the lakes on saturday to walk up Skiddaw so I can avoid the build up and not have to stand in front of Jeff agonising as Exeter take lead against Huddersfield and Tranmere notch goal no 3 at Stockport while awaiting the inevitable Charlie McDonald goal for the Bees. I'm then going to come of the mountain, go to a pub and enjoy some food and beer before learning that Pools will be playing Burton, Stevenage and Morecombe instead of Southampton, Wendies etal next season.

Believe it or not I am a relentlessly, tediously positive person it's just i've supported Pools since 1981, and I am totally behind the lads before you start and I am willing them with everything I have to win the game and stay up.

Football........shit it

Am I the only Poolie who was at Hull, Bournemouth, Exeter and Swindon on the last day of the season when we needed good results and got them sctatchinghead

there's a huge difference between the mentality of those teams and the mentality of this one John
