now that does not help us - last week it did in case we beat Exeter, but seeing as how that didn't happen the uncertainty is now a bad thing. Although I would be amazed if Pools didn't lose the 3 points by the looks of the statement

Would rather know now, but the optimist in me wonders if it's not a clear cut case either way, because if it was they'd have docked us the points. Maybe they've got some thinking to do. . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . or maybe the F.L. are just masochistic bounders!

I'd go for the latter. The last twice our league status was affected by Chesterfield's and Rotherham's actions the FL basically still punished Pools - so I would not be bothered by bleating from other clubs if we aren't deducted sufficient points to be in serious danger of going down.
It all depends on if any blame is to be apportioned to the League in any way or not
Although they are hardly likely to admit they are to blame - so the smart money is still on a points deduction

Useless barstewards, why can't they just take 30 minutes to have a chat and make a decision. They have done this on purpose to keep the 'excitement' going for all clubs involved at the bottom of the division.

How fucking hard can it be to deduct some points or not?

I don't give a shite what they do as long as they decide something, feckless morons.

I'm not sure. Maybe our case is good enough to avert the maximum penalty ( 3 points ) and the FL want to discuss the implications of not applying that maximum.
If it had been straightforward then surely they would have made their decision at the end of today's hearing.
The fact that they haven't is positive news in my opinion.
There must be mitigating circumstances for them to postpone the decision.
Surely it's not brinkmanship.....................

This is how the Northern League have dealt with a similar(ish) situation.

http://www.northernleague.org/view_news ... ews_id=386

But in Chester-Le-Street's case they had already been relegated, and this has given them a chance to get 2 extra points, which could possibly save them, and relegate Billingham Town instead. Penrith actually fielded an eligible player, but had put a different name on the team sheet handed in before the match.

Not the most ideal of decisions in my opinion.

I sincerely hope they have done this because the FL might believe that there is something not straightforward in this case, and not just because to extend the excitement until the last day of the season.

Am I the only one thinking they have done this to give us both the decisions together the fine and the points taken away from us.

I think they are just stringing it out because they can, gives them something to do, makes them look more important, muppets.

I feel that this is a good sign. An open and shut case would have been dealt with by a 3 point deduction today (IMO). The fact they need more time could mean they can see pools point of view.

If off for a half full glass of lager to celebrate!!!

The only reason i can see that the FL have waited to Thursday is that if the FL find us innocent and let us off , then the FA find us guilty and fine us and suspend Liddle , there gonna look like idiots . So they will both try and come to the same decision one way or the other so neither party looks stupid .

With it being election day on thursday it will be a good day to break bad news. Bad for Pools sadx or to avoid the cries of foul when we're let off.

Seriously I think it's just to give both the FA and FL decisions at the same time.
