I was down there earlier spraying myself with all the free testers which i have no intention of buying, as you do when i kept seen these scruffy oinks walking in and going up the top to where the pharmacy bit is. I was watching them and they where going behind a tiny screen to a serving hatch and i was wondering what they where up to so i walked over and was messing about with the weighing machine and watching and to my astonishment they where getting free methadone

Now im all for supporting people who are trying to beat there addiction but to do it in a busy shop where people can see is wrong, am i right or am i just been a twisty middle aged tw@t

it is wrong, mate. They should have to go to specialised places, not local chemists etc. I don't care how inconvenient it is for them - in fact the more inconvenient the better

I keep failing the exams for some reason - even though the answers I put down are all 100% correct

They do this in the Queenway Medical Centre, near to Billingham Town Centre. One of the members of staff in the Pharmacy comes out and takes the druggie into a corridor nearby and gives them their little methadone 'fix'.

Playing Devil's Advocate here, and having only a very limited knowledge of drug use, but if they are going into Chemists to get Methadone, is this not a sign they may be trying to turn their life around.

In some cases I would say so yeah.
A lot of smackheads may be nothing more than horrible dirty thieves & a waste of space, but there are those who ended up on heroin through tragic circumstances & genuinely deserve help.
I also know a heroin addict who holds down a full time job,has a house & a girlfriend & a completely normal life.He pays for his habit with his wages & doesnt rob or steal.
Is that guy any worse than someone who smokes skunk or snorts cocaine (or even those of us who spend our money on cigarettes & booze) ?

I do agree though, the chemists should have a private booth to take them out of public view while they get their methadone.

The methadone should be poisoned so that they die a slow (well in about 24 hours) painful death.

Vote for me.

Its rare that you hear of people who take cocaine or smoke dope robbing old grannies or beating people up for the latest mobile phone!!

It helps in so much as they don't need to burgle as much if they're getting some for free. It's supposed make them get through the day without needing an illegal fix, the problem is it's pure stuff, not than the cut up weak powder that's peddled around so their addiction can become worse. Most need to score in addition to taking the free meth.

So hows about heroin addicts that go to work to pay for their habit ?
Is someone who pays for heroin legitimately any different to someone who buys other drugs ?
