I've just done a dodgy bike ride across some rough terrain -took a "short cut" and ended up going up a 45 degree angle across rocks and pebbles en route towards a farm near Coxhoe, before almost being vibrated off the bike over a road full of shale - then took another short cut near Fishburn and ended up going through a field and got chased by two ewes with their lambs who thought it was some kind of game. Topped off by cycling through a construction site which the blokes weren't too happy about, before finally getting back on the A689
