with all supporters holiding their breath regarding Liddlegate banghead you'd think there would be an offical statement from the club on the website stating that they have responded to the FA's charge and what their excuse is. sctatchinghead

Because its not newsworthy, move along nothing to see. They had to submit a response by close of play yesterday and they undoubtedly have. They will publish something when theres an outcome.

It's Pools we are talking about here.
They seem to spurn every single opportunity available to them to build bridges with the fans.

I really wish they had put up a story with the following:

'Pools have responded to the charge of fielding an illegible player.

We'll find out later in the week how many points we're getting docked'

This would have built bridges with the fans, 2000 extra on the gate for Saturday and we'd virtually secure a play-off spot for next season.

Indeed. Another great post from the wittily named grabagranny, I'm afraid.

Your quite right about the club's lack of loyalty to the fans - its like a closed shop and only if some one outside rumbles them do they put something out even though in this case the official website remains stoical in it's deafening silence sctatchinghead

Maybe they are not allowed to say anything or don't want to for fear of making things worse.

Just the basic facts of what they are doing would be okay I would have thought - like naming the team but not the tactics to be used

Could take a while given that we're not innocent!

What innocence they have admitted their guilt it just the punishment they are pleading for

Maybe they don't know anything and therefore can't tell us anything because they don't know anything.
Mind you not knowing anything is no excuse for telling us nothing.
There again no news is supposed to be good news so the FA might be considering awarding us a few points by way of compensation to make up for the fact that we are obviously being kept in the dark.
If you are reading this Mr FA...................I like you. therethere

if the club can employ delaying tactics then they should.... until the verdict is decided then it makes sense to keep the points firmly still on the board going into Saturday's match

I've just checked on MadJohn's site and today is Colin Larkin's birthday.

Not a thing on the official site.

Yet another example of IOR taking the piss and short changing us as fans. A PR disaster of cataclysmic proportions.

I always like to send lower league journeymen with little to no end product a birthday card as well, just where would we be without that goal at 2-0 up late in the Walsall game?

Happy Birthday Colin at least I appreciate you.

Don't let Chris Turner find out it's his birthday, he'll be extending his contract by another two years for a little present.

Tranmere,Exeter & Gillingham will all be hoping we lose 3 points,so as far as Im concerned no news is good news as an announcement docking the points will give those clubs a morale boost.
I dont think we'll hear owt till after the weekend & the FA will breathe a sigh of relief if they can dock 3 irrelevant points

The last thing Pools need is to get docked this week... the others can wait - bollocks to them!!! Let's get the weekend over first... I 've a feeling Pools will have done all they can to present a case to at least cause thje judgement to be deferred a while longer

I cannot understand those who want it "over and done with" - really, how will that help the club?

The longer the better for me a points deduction before the weekend will give the teams below us a lift. Maybe they're waiting to find out the outcome of the weekends matches before deciding or penalty. A win on Saturday would make any points deduction irrelevant . The FA could even decide not to dock us points anyway given the extenuating circumstances of the case (but I forgot its Pools I'm talking about and not manure or liverpoo)

The players know nothing about when the decision will be made so I guess the whole club are in the same boat.
