We are now only 1 point away from mathematical safety,
Realistically though we are now safe, the only way Tranmere could catch us would be with a turnaround in goal difference of 24 goals

Now we just need a decision on the Liddle situation so we know if we need to get another 3 points.

Optimistic I feel. I view the table with us as having 48 points as I feel certain we lose 3 next week. That's then only 3 ahead of Tranny who play Stockport last game of season and have Millwall next week. If they get anything next week at home to Millwall then I think they'll beat Stockport and that leaves us under pressure to win at home to Exeter as we'll get bot all away last game. Squeaky bum time. Massive next week on and off pitch

I think you can almost be certain that we'll need 1 more win. The 3 point deduction is in my opinion is nailed on.

A win over Exeter would put us 4 points clear of them and SAFE.

Our fall back(if we only get a point or lose to Exeter) is that Wycombe have to play Orient and Gillingham in their last 2 games, so if they win both they go on to 48 points but 13 goals to make up on us. But they would then be taking 3 points off Orient(away) and Gillingham(home) Gillingham then need to win at home to Southampton to overtake us, and Orient would need to better our result at Brentford Tranmere would need 4 points from Millwall(home)who can still get automatic promotion, and Stockport away.

A point at home would leave us 1 point (after deduction) ahead of Exeter who then would have to beat Huddersfield at home on last day to overtake us.

A defeat and we can start worrying,if Tranmere get something off Millwall,

But having said all that if Wycombe(at Orient) and Tranmere(home to Millwall) lose next Saturday then even if we lose to Exeter , Wycombe can't catch us and Tranmere need to overturn a 24 goal deficit on the last game of the season.

Simples....... rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl

Let's hope we don't have to see this being used during the rest of the season.

If looks to me like we just have to match Tranmere's result next week.

I think if we don't do worse than Tranmere in each of the remaining games we should survive.

The alternative scenario is that we'll be in trouble if Tranmere do better than us in their remaining games.

From what I can see, we just need to equal that of the Rovers of Tranmere next week.

If we lose and Tranmere win but field an illeligable player, we'll be safe.

Having just completed an in depth study of the various scenarios, I think that matching Tanmere's next result would make us safe.
I'm surprised no one else thought of that.
