Post subject: Just Got This E-Mail About The Government!!!!

See what you think....

This Efing government,

Please pass this on. It only takes a minute. The governments proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it.

The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver.

A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.

If you, like myself travel to work from outside Hartlepool your fuel bill / wear and tear on your car will already be costing you a fortune. Imagine the extra expense if the government were successful in getting this bill approved!!

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you
have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect a NIP with your monthly bill.

If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No.10s (official) new website.

There are already pilot schemes in operation with the insurance companies under the pretext of 'cheapening' your insurance if you don't do many miles in a month. As though insurance companies are interested in 'cheapening' anything.

Think about it. Legally you have to have car insurance, it's a stiff penalty if you're found without it. Yet the Government doesn't police the cost of motor insurance. They let the insurance companies run wild with their premiums and quietly collect an Insurance Premium Tax which is a percentage and therefore increases with the cost of the policy.

If you sit on your hands on this one you deserve what you get.

Taxed according to how many miles you do? What a groundbreaking scheme.

though I think we already have such a system in place - it's called fuel duty.

Tax on fuel
RFL - road tax
BIK - company car tax
M6 Toll - more road tax
VAT cannot be reclaimed on car purchases

Like we don't pay enough taxes for company cars or any cars for that matter!

Unfortunately most of their protests are in favour of upholding antiquated, non-viable social schemes, not against repressive anti-privacy measures or outrageous taxes.
Mind you, if Sarkozy gets in there'll no doubt be more big-brothering, but he will try to put a brake on silly social expenditure and probably won't change taxes except for the very rich who are all fooking off with their capital.

P.S., a milllion Britons protested against our intervention in Iraq. France has NEVER had a protest that big.

But what did it achieve?
