This is my first post on the Bunker, not because I'm not interested but it has taken me this long to learn how to use it (I'm not a computer genius).
I may be new to airing my thoughts on the Bunker but not new to Pools, my first match was a FA Cup game when Pools beat Marine FC 6-2 back in the 70's.
I'm a Pools fan, not because I'm a glory supporter like those that follow Manure or Borer (heh) but because I support and have a passion for my local football team. I to have followed them through some really good times (especially in recent years) and some not such exciting, cold, goal less times but the one thing that doesn't change is my passion ( which includes HUFC wallpaper and an old turnstile in the garden) and never ending support for Hartlepool United Football Club.
I may agree with many of the posts that express disappointment in decisions made, lack of spirit, poor day at the office etc, the players change and the management come and go but we the fans don't change and we still must show our support.
So my plea is vote with your feet tonight and attend the game, make some noise and show the players and management we the fans still have the passion for Hartlepool United Football Club.

Exactly.

IOR may have their faults, but without them this Club would not be where it is today.

Lots of the Bunker's newest posters are really, really good, aren't they? Better than Obafemi, really, though he's cornered the censorship market.......

Blimey an old turnstile in the garden - you must have some extremely generous friends and family to have recived such a wonderful gift. Um assuming it was a gift that is. I cant believe its left out to rust shouldnt it be in the house somewhere, maybe the kitchen.
Anyway try not to write such waffle in future.

I'd be more concerned about the HUFC wallpaper in the garden, surely it'll just get wet and rot away. confised

Oh dear!!!! Have I upset the IOR fans?

They are a company that make money sucking at the dregs the big boys leave behind.

Ring any bells? It should do as they run OUR Club like their business.

I fully appreciate and I am grateful to them for what they have achieved since the very dark days of GG etc. However, there are some niggling points.

They appoint a football manager and dont let him manage, ie Danny Wilson. There is a theory that IOR think Pools would be more viable in League 2 with lower wages and bigger home crowds on the back of a successful team. There is also an undercurrent of Ken wanting managers to play players he or IOR think should be in the team.

So...........while OUR Club may be financially as stable as we have been ever, is that enough?

Not for me!!!!!!

I am Pools and proud..........but I wont pay to have the wool pulled over my eyes by a company whose ethos is cleaning up after the big boys instead of having some bloody ambition.

IDIOT ALERT!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldnt mind clearing up after Shell etc in the oild business, its like saying oh this fella mines diamonds but i walk behind him and pik up the little ones stpid

IOR are the best thing ever to happen to Pools and I hope they stay till I am dead, Pools would be at best in the conference now without them, as noone would invest in the club being in the North-east with massive competition around. How many multi millionares do you know from Hartlepool as I dont know many.

Lets be greatful for what we have a stable board who will sack Tubby at the end of the season.

so you are saying you wouldnt like to be the owner of IOR, granted a small oil company but this is an oil company we are talking about here. I would swop places with the MD in a second.

Let's see what happens in May. IOR will hopefully appoint a new manager (and not colin f*ckin west).
Ask a Darlo fan if they'd like IOR running their club or a Scarborough, York, Halifax, Maidstone, Chester fan etc etc etc.
We're all ambitious but i'd rather have a stable financial backing and a guaranteed football club than some f*ckin idiot who says "we'll make the premier league in 5 years, here's a new stadium" then it all goes to rat-shit.
The only thing lacking at the minute is the manager which hopefully will be addressed in the close season.

Well that is my opinion on IOR and yes I agree there are lots of clubs out there that would love IOR to manage their finances..........but their teams as well???????

It appears that OUR club and its fans are happy to accept second best...........and I think that is very sad.

I stick by my sentiments that IOR are happy to be average.............and from the repsonses, some idiotic some intelligible I assume the majority on this site are too.

I am a born and bred Hartlepudlian and no longer live in the town.........fortunately......just looking at the peeps on this site I am proud to have spread my wings and improved my life. When the team that I follow do likewise I will be back with a big smaile on my face.

Until then i will watch the inane comments about the manager who has taken more teams down than up and read with delight the comments from people who think they care but dont know how to think.

Ah, the old I'm great and better than you cos I've moved away from Hartlepool argument often rolled out by complete pricks. This time seems to be no exception.

I assume you have somebody lined up to buy IOR out and pump millions into HUFC? Care to tell us who this may be or are you really just a dreamer who thinks that the billionaire tree is sagging under the weight of people wanting to own Pools?

PS. What's a "smaile"? sctatchinghead

1) if you arent going to the games then dont bother posting, as your input will be worth less than shyte.

2) stick to watching birds. you know fook all about football.

The reason i don't go to games is that I wont give money to people (IOR) who take the p*ss.

I know enough about football to know a relegated team who's players earn in excess of £50 pa and still cant be ar*ed to put effort in and a manager who would fall down in a heap if it wasnt for Uncle ken pulling his strings.

You must be on a wind up?? You MUST be clappp
