I dunno about bed bugs but we did go on an expedition into the mountains once and when we stopped off for the night there was a dish full of some kind of bugs in amongst the dinner. I had a spoonful but they didn't taste of much, they were just crunchy, then someone dropped one on the white tablecloth and it just looked like an insect, which it obviously was, so I went off the idea.
