I've just noticed that three of my favourite Pools goals ever were scored on this day.

1999 - Paul Baker's penalty rebound at Shrewsbury - maybe my favourite goal.
2002 - Gordon Watson's stunning volley at Halifax
2004 - Shuggy's tap-in v Luton

Happy days clappp

3 great goals.

I watched Baker's rebound about 50 times the following morning, he started his run up for the rebound at the same time Ingram started his but he was 10 yards outside of the box meaning he was always going to be first to the ball.

Watson's was from absolutely nothing and highlighted his ability to win goals and why a striker like him is so important.

I wasn't at the Luton game, I was at MK Dons vs Sunderland. :uhoh: :uhoh:

I was one of the two thousand Pools fans who were apparently there that night!
