First half we were outstanding and was our best away performance i have attended this season.
Second half we still done well to keep orient from scoring and then just saw the game out.

Ratings:

Flinders - 7 - didnt have a great deal to do, couldnt do anything about the goal but held onto a couple of decent shots to prevent orient strikers tapping in any rebounds. Great double save from header from a corner early on.

Austin - 7 - Did everything he needed to. Was up against poor left wingers - never really troubled - good on the ball

Haslam - 8 - Does a fantastic job defensively - showed his experience with some great time wasting near the end when he climbed into the stadium pretending to collect the ball clearly knowing it was a multi ball system.

Collins - 8.5 - fantastic performance from the skipper and really is a different player this season. made some fantastic and very important challenges.

Liddle - 9 (MOM) - Looked very comfortable next to Collins and they compliment each other very well. Very good on the ball at time and 2 great headers.

Monkhouse - 7.5 - decent performance and almost scored a world class goal. always looks dangerous. Done brilliantly for O'donovans goal.

McSweeney - 8 - his work rate yesterday was unbelievable - reallu dug in when we needed it.

Gamble - 7.5 - done a job on there main player and kept thornton quiet. Breaks up opposition play very well and kept it simple

Humphreys - 7.5 - kept the ball and one of his better performances in centre midfield.

O'donovan - 7 - good finish for his goal but his hold up play wasnt at his best. Still scored so that will do.

Bjornsson - 7 - Held the ball up and gave us a different option. Needs to be more aggressive but won some important headers in both penalty areas.

Subs:
Brown - 6.5 - didnt really get into the game but game was pretty much won when he came on.
Sweeney - 6.5 - again not a great deal to do but gave us some extra energy that was needed.
Power - only touched the ball twice but nice to see him getting a run out after good performances in reserves.

Turner / West - 8.5 - very passionate and team selection worked with a good performance. Monkhouse and McSweeney on opposite sides to their usual positions worked a treat. Haslam in the side to keep it tight at the back worked also. Cant complain with the substitutes either as added energy we needed to see game out. I was also told by a friend close to the club that passions boiled over in the tunnel between West and Orient's assistant Kevin Nugent which shows that the management do have passion and the win means a lot to them.

An all round great day.

Also our result last week against Swindon wasnt a bad one considering they demolished Leeds at Elland Road and we out played last week for parts of the game.

Great to hear about the team performance at Brisbane Road, at least Turner made some radical changes after last weeks debacle. Although i agree that last weeks result doesn't look to bad in the light of Swindon's result yesterday you can't get away from the fact that the PERFORMANCE last week was desperate. Obviously the managers changes worked the oracle this week
