they should have the right to turn someone away who they think might cause trouble etc..... but legally I think they'd be on dodgy legal ground for doing something like that!!!!!

If you open up your own home and use it as a B & B, then you are bound by the laws of business. You cannot pick & choose which laws are applicable to you.

I do feel that the owners should have the right to refuse who they wish but then, surely they must come across dodgy characters all the time in that line of work (without possibly realising) and yet they choose to turn away what seem to be law abiding citizens whose crime (in their eyes) is that they like to give and receive..........

Clearly not quite the same comparison but I have always felt discriminated against being that I can't wear trainers 'out' on a night, do you think the church might fund a campaign on my behalf in order to get the law changed sctatchinghead

Absolutely! It's private premises they should allow or disallow whoever they want.

Is there any difference in turning gays away than there is in turning away groups of lads or lasses? The number of times Ive been in groups that have needed to split up to get a room in places like Blackpool!!

To those of you who would refuse gay men, what about lesbians, would you allow them to share a room?

It's discrimination. Almost the same as turning people away because of their skin colour.

When you open a B&B you should be prepared to accept everybody as long as they behaved in an appropriate manner.
