I've just had a phone call from a Mexican sounding person and the discussion went something like this:

Pedro "Is this Mr ..........."

Me "You have pronounced my name wrong, what is this about?" No I didn't tell him my name

Pedro "This is Pedro from Virtual PC Support, we have an issue with your PC. If you give me your password I can dowload all of our support software onto your PC and resolve your issue"

Me, when I'd stopped laughing "Why would an Enterprise Architect from the second largest Computer Technolgy company in the world want help from you, end of discussion"

Please be aware when you receive phone calls of this kind. No reputable PC Support Company would cold call in any circumstances.

If it was April the 1st I would of suspected Mr Bus

For what reason would he want your computer password for anyway, its not like he could do anything without physical access to your PC anyway

Strangely enough I had a similar type of call yesterday, some sort of spamming going on bastads.

Having said that, Mr Bus would probably pronounce your name wrong as well....
