absolute brilliant if phil nixon had played like he had all week from the start he would of pissed the final. still hes done the north east proud and he will be back next year for another attempt, at the end of the day hes a totally genuine guy just like all of us thats what has made he's prescence this week more pleasing

He's just earned himself a fortune too. Not the 30k he's just picked up but the money he'll earn in exhibitions. It's probably more so because he lost. The British do love a good loser.

I'm not knocking him for it, good luck to the bloke. Seems the sort of guy who deserves a bit of luck. By all accounts he's had to get the bus to Frimley Green - incidentally thats where Dodgy Suicide Barracks is located (Deepcut), so I dont suppose he's a rich bloke.
