Martin Allen was pleasently complimentary as well - doesn't stop him from being completely hatstand, though!

Dons manager Martin Allen spoke to the press after the game against Hartlepool and gave his immediate response to a narrow 1-0 defeat.

"Hartlepool played with commitment, with desire, with fight and they have some players with some quality. It is very tight now at the top of the table but there is a long way to go.

"I have to have that tenacity and commitment on a consistent basis and that has been the case. It has always been about the tenacity, the energy, the commitment and the willingness and if those things are in place long-term we will get enough points. But if you show weakness in those areas you are going to have a problem.

I don't see anything in there that says 'They wouldn't lie down under our thuggery and so our heads went down and Izale lost it and got sent off from sheer frustration at their defenders obvious class.'

I wonder if Danny would have offered his support in the appeal if we still had to play them?? I suspect not!!

Thats some good news then, they want to get the little twat fined-if his other red cards were 3 match bans that's a quarter of the season he'll miss.
