The changing rooms are in a right state clearly haven't been swept for weeks, and the lines are marked shockingly.

They are also using bibs as goalposts.

from what I've seen (not that much) Power is looking good, don't know what he needs to do to get a run out in the 1st team

Reward someone for playing well in the reserves and showing a bit of hunger rather than constantly pick people who lose football matches and play poorly??

Outrageous Sir.

I would have went, but didn't get home from work until quarter past three, and a glass of Cider was calling from the fridge.

Not a great game has to be said, difficult conditions on a poor pitch against a strong Huddersfield side so good result. Power probs our best player again, Rowell quietly effective, Brownie got better as game wore on, replaced shortly after his goal, worryingly still does'nt look anywhere near his best though. Young keeper made a couple good saves late on, dunno where he's from but worth another look.

Guessing this is the same fella.....

Andrew Rafferty
DOB: 27/5/88. Goalkeeper. Raffa is now in his second season at Guisborough and will be looking to build on his outstanding form from last year, before injury cut his season short. Raffa is a huge player at the club. Previously with Horden C.W. He once wanted to work as a postman as he agreed the pay wasn't brilliant but it was better than walking the streets.

At least he has a sense of humour, well almost.

Probably the worst game of football in the history of the world.

And I was fooking freezing.

The new keeper didn't do a thing in the first half, I'm not sure he even touched the ball. Admittedly I was 15 minutes late so I don't know what went on then. Second half he made 2 or 3 great saves and came out well and smothered the ball well when we let them walk through the defence. He is massive, I am guessing he is about 6 foot 5. He put in a better performance than I've ever seen Cook have, not that I've ever seen Cook have a bad game.

I thought Hartley looked better at centre half, stronger in the tackle and distribution was improved.

Power had a great first half and ran the show, after seeing Gamble on Saturday and Power today I know exactly who I'd start Saturday. I suspect I'll be wrong though.

Brownie got better as the game went on. Sheer power of his shot forced their keeper into a mistake for the goal.

Mackay and Greulich were shyte and will never be good enough for League 1 football. Fact.

Brownie started on the left wing, Larkin on the right and Fredriksen at left back. I'd be surpised if those 3 ever player in that position for Pools in the future so it seems strange why they'd play there for the reserves. sctatchinghead

Overall a shyte game which 'Uddersfield should have won.
Apart from punching Brown's shot into the net their keeper had fook all to do.

As noted above Billy & "Magic " were shyte but so were the bulk of the rest of the outfield players.
Power & Rowell & Marron & Hartley at least kept things tight through the middle. Hartley looks much more assured as a centre-half.

Freddie & young Purvis were both crap at full back(s) Larkin & Brown were poor out on the wings. Brown's shot was good. Think it was the only one he had but the keeper should have tipped it over.

Star of the show for Pools was defenitely Andy Cafferty. Not sure why we need another debutant keeper as Herbert did really well against the Mags on his debut but this lad from Guisbrough won the game for Pools with several excellent saves.

Nice to see Paul Stephenson at Billy Town in his capacity as Terriers reserve team coach. Lee Clark & Terry Mac also in the stand as was the Tubster.

Looking at Bedford Tce it's hard to work out where exactly Pools money has been spent. It doesn't seemed to have changed hugely over the last few years & the bloody tea hut wasn't open!
