We have been doomed long before yesterday result. I’m not sure if a change of manager would alter this but it cannot be any worse but if there is to be change then it must be all the management side. The manager, assistant manager anyone associated with coaching of the players as I haven’t seen a change in any players decision making, ability, positional play when with the ball or with out. Also our set play is laughable and not been able to produce a long throw that can enter the box and trouble the opposing defence. Before Collins throw is mentioned it’s nothing special and if we do manage to win the first header no-one is challenging the second phase. Turner is to blame for the size of the squad, the lack of pace which he has recently mentioned about the forward line. Well sorry but you did sign Boyd, Behan, Greulich, Larkin, Bjornsson, MacKay, Tymon, and Foley in the summer. A total lack of any physical presence anywhere on the pitch. At the Oldham game for example there centre half caught Boyd with an elbow and there player Goodwin went over and congratulated him. Probably knowing his presence in the game would be altered. When we catch a player we are apologising shaking hands patting backs. We are not threaten from set plays, be it corners or free kicks. The delivery is poor and any attempt on goal quite shocking. But most worrying is nothing changes be it who delivers it or the area it’s delivered. Also when we do have a corner it usually means the opposition will be having a shot on target from the break down without us working the keeper. Our constant gifting of goals and inability to hold on to a lead for more than 10 minutes is school boy stuff.

For the squad I believe Flinders, Austin, Brown, Sweeney, Monkhouse and Liddle are worth persisting with the younger plays like Rowell etc I wouldn’t judge as I haven’t seen enough of them. Of the players that should be culled.

Collins- at fault for two many goals and usually not opponents brilliance his inability to clear his lines
Hartley- not a left back and not a centre half, wouldn’t be dominant enough in the air at this level
Mcsweeney- been asked to play right back now when signed as right midfield says it all
Jones- doesn’t challenge for the ball enough and been in the game for 20mins in his carrier at the Vic
Behan- slow, weak, not a jot of sense where to be when the balls on the park
Boyd- not a sportsman especially with what he will be getting paid
Haslam- cannot get a game for a right winger?
Gamble- cannot tackle, win a header or spray a ball anywhere. Another with nothing to his game. Humphreys is better he is as quick will challenge and set up more goals over a season.
The rest I’ll not mention rant is to long already as none are good enough for league 2. But this time when we go down we will not come straight back up. So turner please go this is your mess they your players and your making Scott look good.

Funningly enough I agree with you.
I'm sure your views on gamble will provoke some controversy but I've seen nothing from him that suggests he's any better than we already had.

I couldnt make yesterdays game so cant comment on it but apart from gambles first few games, I dont think he has been a great signing. He looks very average to me.

Is it just a case that our coaching is so bad?? Im not sure.
