The only way for Pools to fix this shambles is to have a change of personnel of hiroshima proportions. Clear out the whole management team and about 2/3 of the players. Then bring in a disciplinarian manager with the authority, autonomy and support to do the job.

None of this loyalty towards the 'good ol boys' thank you.

Disciplinarian managers at Pools:

Clough
Knowles
Cooper

Nice guy managers at Pools:

Moncur
Turner

I agree with Mr I but, I think he will agree, it's not going to happen.
The whotsit in the woodpile here is not Turner, it's Hodcroft.
If Hodcroft wants to keep Turner in the managers chair then it is he who should take the blame is it not?
Taking that to it's logical conclusion, it is Hodcroft who is draining the heart and soul from OUR, yes OUR, club.
By stubbornly keeping a proven failure at this level and allowing him to supervise the inglorious march to relegation, Hodcroft is proving that his words of " we won't let it happen again" and " we apologise for allowing it to happen" were as hollow as his so called ambitions for OUR Club.
Oh dearie me, have I dared to criticise the saviour.
Having watched our support dwindle, both home and away, and listened to the many season ticket holders saying that they won't be renewing if this situation isn't addressed, I think it is about time the wrath of the Poolies needs to be directed to precisely where the blame lies.
IOR may be the best thing since sliced bread but they are not beyond blame or criticism.
The heart and soul IS being drained from OUR club and ALL the blame can't be put at Turner's door.

If someone puts a lion into a classroom full of five year olds and the lion eats a few, who do you blame???? The lion or the gadgie who put it there.

The thing is mate I don't think its a case of loyalty anymore. I think its more a case of indecision and that is a bad thing. Hodcroft has to either admit that allowing Turner to manage the team was a bad call on his part or let the footballing Gods force an unhappy conclusion. At the moment it certainly seems like he's waiting for the latter thus meaning that a firm decision will be made for him.

Whether Turner is at the helm or back as director of sport I will not renew my season ticket while he is at the club.

Maybe IOR want the fan's to turn on them, so it gives them a valid reason to jack it all in. Could be that the supremo has now got bored with one of his toys?

I can see why you feel like that but surely no fans at a club would be embarassing.

...or mabe IOR prefer us to be a strong L2 side paying L2 wages in front of double the crowds? We have been hopelessly out of our depth this season paying L1 money to players who ain't good enough. endof.

If that is what IOR prefer then they must be deliberately steering us to Div 2.
I don't want to believe that.
