Bretts totally ruled.

Every Saturday we'd go to the town too see me mam circa 1995, parents split up when we were young, another time eh, and she'd take us to bretts for a quarter of whatever we wanted...

A quarter of chock lick was my favourite.

Was choc lick the crumb thing that made the bag go all soggy with slaver?

Only tried it once, then went back to solid things like rhubarb and custard or sour cola bottles.

Bretts were the only place that sold slush puppies in town.

Choc lick was just out of date bars that they couldn't sell, I still bought it though!
