He was certainly one of our best, but that is not saying much. It looked as if he was one of the only ones to care. In the 2nd half I had the misfortune of being stood in the vicinity of some rather moronic 'supporters' on the Mill House terrace, the vitriolic abuse that they dished out to Ritchie Humphreys was disgraceful, he may not be very good anymore and not everyones favourite, but to abuse a Pools player who has given so much to the club was disgraceful. Its fair kop to give a bit of stick to someone having a mare or not showing fight etc but to call someone a fat 'lovely lovely person', useless 'lovely lovely person' and telling them to fuck off the pitch and more stuff along them lines is utter disgraceful, especially as he wasnt THAT bad. All of which was obviously well within earshot of Ritchie and what he must have thought is beyond me. Even when other players made mistakes, they were abusing Ritchie for not being there to recieve the bad pass stpid It was shameful to hear and morons like this should stop going if that is the support they give. refred

I agree with your overall sentiment that booing during the course of a game is counter productive, but all this 'given so much to the club' is complete fooking bollocks. These players are amply rewarded for their efforts, they do not do it for the love of the club. Thats none of them not just Humphreys. They are well paid employees nothing more or less.

Well played today Richie, I have totally totally reversed my opinion on him after seeing the effort he was putting in compared to the others. If we'd had 11 Richie Humphreys today we'd have put in a lot better performance and it's not often you can say that.

quite right!

late on in the game the ball went out and our Jack grabbed it to chuck it back on, Ritchie was literally screaming at him for the ball.

He really hoped we'd score from his throw in so he could claim an assist!!

Just before he took them throws I said 'he'll never fcking reach from there'. He did. Comfortably. Super Richie Humphreys.
