Help !!!!!!!!

Im hoping someone here can help me,this has me tearing my hair out.

Firstly, the problem is on a ACER ASPIRE netbook belonging to an 11 year old child
A couple of days ago my daughters browser was hijacked, she googled facebook but when she clicked the results it diverted to pages trying to sell anti spyware etc.
Then up popped XP Smart Security doing a virus scan & giving 29 results which can only be removed by prchasing their licence

I realised straight away the this XP security was a fake & was itself a virus.

I tried to da a scan (AVG,Super Anti Spyware & Malwarebytes) but they wouldnt start up.
I have tried several options (downloaded on my desktop & transferred via usb stick)
I downloaded a notepad/regfix thingy & ran that which allowed me to start up the anti virus programmes but they wont update.
I have downloaded stinger, adaware, spyware doctor all to no avail

I have been all over google trying to find solutions to no avail

If anyone can help I shall be eternally greatful

Disable system restore
Boot into safe mode (F8)
Then do your spyware scans.

Do that... Also disconnect the laptop from the internet. Them Spyware ones that spoof viruses / anti virus software are a git to get rid of too. Good luck

No. turn off your computer and back on again. During that startup process press F8 a few times and you will be presented with a menu.. choose 'Safe Mode'.

Make sure that system restore is disabled first.

What operating system is it on? Usually on Vista and Windows 7... It automatically pairs to the wireless network once you do it for the first time

Running malwarebytes without updating it isnt going to find anything. Turn off the computer and boot up safe mode with networking. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet via cable, wireless wont work in safemode usually.
Once running open malwarebytes click on the update tab and check for updates once done then go back to scanner and do a full scan (disconnect from the internet while scanning) See if that finds anything. Also you might want to consider downloading hijackthis.exe to see whats running when your computer is booting up.

Groovy, the only way to get rid of that malicious software is by using 'combofix' I have it if you need it, you will also need a guide and to print it off to follow it, as it has to be used in safe mode without networking.

The files are in a rar file so you will need winrar to extract these files.

Combofix it pretty straight forward to use but if you google it there will be a guide, if you get an error about other anyti virus already being installed on the system just click thge X in the top right of the pop-up window instead of clicking ok.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-r ... itfraudfix id be tempted to try and use this one before using combofix as its alot easier and that is a good guide. Ive included smitfraudfix.exe in the rar file aswell.

Anymore help let me know mate
Oh remember to do all this in safe mode aswell...

Yeah it wont find anything, it only finds things when it feels like it lol, its not quite malware thats why it doesnt detect it, i think its classed as greyware or something similar. Its a pain in the arse but as i said in my previous post smitfraudfix should fix it straight away for you.

Just uploaded the latest malware bytes anti malware scanner if anyone needs it, it has a keygen included so just generate the key and register the copy.
