... with Andy Robinson from Leeds joining Tranmere on loan is one that stands out.

You doing anything to try and stop us being 'the nearly team' then Chris - or just carrying on with the the same players? sadx

We have established this before, Chris Turner doesn't believe in loan players.

Grave, that bloke who scored a hat trick in our last home game, Jason Donovan or something remind me on what sort of deal he's on at the club?

Robinson is from Birkkkkined and started with Tranmere.

LOL, good point :uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:

Well, lets just say he doesn't have a prolific desire to sign loan players. O' Donovan obviously an exception.

on a more positive note, that southend player, the really good winger, is out for the season. They dont have the money to get in a loan player (i think) so thats a huge blow to them.

As chip said, the squad is good enough, its the management thats the problem

the team has taken the lead on so many occasions but not defended it.... which points to the fact that the team/squad have a certain amount of ability in there - but not the organisation or belief to defend a lead.
That would point the blame in the direction of the coaching and management side of things.

Agree fully with the point about our squad being good enough, I would go as far to say we could lose 1 or 2 of the players that would be first choices of most on here and still be capable of holding our own.

The fault is with the management, whether of the men, their tactics, their motivation, will to win, organisation god knows but most weeks that 11 that go out for us should be doing better than they are.

Agrre totally that our players are good enough but mis-managed. I believe we have one of the best teams on paper in this division, they just need better direction and belief instilled in them.

In defence of the players (even though they have to shoulder some of the blame), if we had a good manager who could instill the self belief into them there's no reason at all that we couldn't be challenging for the play-offs. You don't need a team of brilliant individuals to have a good team. Brian Clough (R.I.P.) won the European Cup with a great team but not 11 brilliant individuals. Our players have the ability to be as good as the teams of 2003/04 and 2004/05 that made the play-offs. They just need a leader.

Dear Uncle Ken,
Please, please, please can we have a new leader for next season.
