Are many making the trip to Orient, for what is effectively a six pointer. If you decide to stay overnight dont stay in Barking. What an odd place. Good Football table in a dodgy winebar,a crap pub with a crap DJ and too many people "Sticking stuff up their f***ing hooters" to quote a classy local in the Wetherspoons!

In hindsight, we should have stayed in the Coors Bar, where dancing was banned! could have been interesting.

Going to on the Friday afternoon for a couple nights, got some swanky digs near St.Pauls and looking forward to a few beers. The only part which could be a problem is the match! Me and the lads I go the match with decided to do this early in the season, thinking it would be a mid table dead rubber and we could have an enjoyable weekend on the pop without too much concern regarding the match.

That went to plan.........

A couple of my mates moved to Barking from Hartlepool in the early 90s, and I used to visit them a fair bit.

Back then it was supposed to be 'rough', but it wasn't really any different to Hartlepool. We used to drink in the Barking Dog next to the tube, which I think was the first ever Wetherspoons. It was piss-cheap but a decent pub.

Since then I've heard Barking has gone downhill quite a bit. Apparently it's where all the undesirables are housed, which is a shame because it used to have a bit of a community feel, which is rare round London.

Orient is one of the few decent away trips remaining IMO opinion but I refuse to put holidays at work for away games after the load I have wasted since we got promoted to this division thanks to Wilson and Turner. Like chip I'll definitely be at Brentford and might do Walsall, sadly Walsall is just one of many depressing away trips that we encounter these days.
