Take relegation and accept we'll probably lose some of our better players if it means Turner is given the boot?

For the record I don't think we'll be relegated. I think we'll do enough to survive given our run in. I'm just curious re people's opinions.

Im pretty certain that regardless how results go Turner will be here until May 8th* & go in close season.
Last time we went down we all felt it was purely a cock up made by Martin Scott & that we were too good to stay in the 4th division.This time I think we would struggle to come straight back up,its more of a malaise set in than a cock up.

Yet another anti Pools post on The Bunker. How can anybody want there team relegated just to get rid of a manager, Turner's our manager so we have to support the team he puts out it's up to them once they cross the white line!!

He has been dire this year and has brought in lots of players that he cannot fit into the squad, whether that is because they are not good enough or some have contracts that say they must play I don't know. But if he can't motivate the players that start or sign ones that improves us then he should go regardless the mans record as a football manager speaks for itself, he may well have been at the helm when the current owners turned the place around but beyond that has he really ever done anything truly great here?

I think he should go, but doubt he will be pushed anywhere other than upstairs, and I don't want to be relegated I would rather be 2 seasons from the premiership than 1 from obscurity.

How is it daft? It's not an uncommon trait amongst football supporters to adopt a "things need to get worse before they get better" mentality and I was just curious if anyone thought that given the feelings most of us have towards Turner's managerial abilities. There has already been comments posted that we're in a lose/lose situation.

If went down, we might get rid of Turner. But also some of our better players with certainty of a quick return. The only saving grace being we'd still be a division above the scum, as they'll be non league by then!

Fookin pathetic. Who in their right mind would take relegation and lose some of their better players just to get rid of the manager and then there's no gaurantee that the manager would go anyway. And who the fook wants to watch that standard of football in league 2 week after week. Let's just hope we stay up and hopefully Uncle Ken will appoint a manager with a bit of tactical knowhow in the summer.

The anti Turner stuff is going to do us no good at the moment though, long term he isn't the answer but we need to wind our necks in a bit and get behind the team.....
