I have no idea and was thinking the same thing. He was never going to keep them up, I dont think any managers would have. A crazy decision.

If they can get through another manager before the seasons out the amount they've had this season will be greater than the number of games they've won.

Surely a first?

It was obvious Staunton wasnt up to the job so getting rid now makes perfect sense. Any new manager has time to get to know the players we have and can plan now for next season. Its not only whats happening on the pitch that has gone against Staunton either.

Try watching what we have had to watch for the majority of the season and you wouldnt be saying that. The decision needed to be made now. We were fucking abysmal yesterday again and considering Staunton has been able to sign 23 players, they should at least be showing some fight or passion for playing for the man who signed them.

Funnily enough, Titanic was on last night on Channel 4.

Maybe's he's now finally realised that the ship is sinking.

I was amazed when they sacked Todd. Surely he would have got more points on the board than they've got under Staunton.

I think the ship sunk when he became manager.

Who was the captain of the Titanic was a quiz question last night.

Edward J Smith was the answer. Not Pickles.

Liddle and Maddison, two ex-players, at least you know they'll give it their all, mind we were in a similar position with Honour and Baker I recall, but best of British.

Fair enough. I havent had the misfortune of seeing the loids this season so obviously I dont know how bad you have looked under Staunton.

I presume you will be waiting until the end of the season before appointing a manager. Obviously nobody would want a relegation on their cv (Unless Turner wants another one  ).

Maybe they are acting quickly because they've heard Phil Brown is out of work.

Appointing a new manager for the loids would be like giving the kiss of life to a frozen chicken, it's as hopeless as two skeletons deciding to have a baby.
