Am I right in assuming this is song has several drug references?

Can the "older " members confirm the saying that if you can remember the 60's you weren't really there is true?

I can remember Pools promotion season in 1968.
Unless the saying refers to the early to mid sixties it must be a load of bolleax.

Apparently there was'nt any colour in the sixties, and everyone used to wear dark 3 piece suits, smoke pipes, and wear open toe'd sandals with quill socks in December.
Women used to walk 5 yards behind their husbands, giggle at everything they said, and were only allowed to watch one T.V. programme a week unsupervised.
Kids used to wear short trousers till they were 15 years old, leather flying helmets on their heads, the biggest spectator sport in the country was conkers, and if you were good you could stop up late to watch The Avengers.....so this old gadgey told us' over a pint of Dandelion and Burdoch the other night.
