Panic over. It's just a small cut under his eye.

We would have taken Beckham at the expense of someone who could potentially really make a difference and it means Milner is more likely to play a bigger role. It also gives Joe Cole something to aim for as he would be brilliant out on the right.

Beckham would have been there for his presence only really and he will still go as an ambassador for 2018 so nothing lost there.

Beckham will still be with the England squad ad the world cup for morale support, even if he isnt selected as one of the squad.

Beckham can cross a ball better than any one else in the world. Rooney, Heskey & Crouch would love to get quality cross after quality cross into the box from Beckhams deliveries.

He would have been 2nd choice, but he still had a major part to play IMO

Feel sorry for the bloke, he obviously loves playing for England, he will be missed, we always get injuries before a major tournament, no other side seems to get big injuries like England refred

Matty Robson would be in this England squad if it wasn't for the Mill House Terrace. Fact.

Just imagine the options Beckham would give the team coming off the bench for the last 20. Against ManUre the other day he looked like the only one interested in playing.I know its all the rage to take the piss out of him but imho Beckham will be a big miss this summer.

Hope gets miraculously fit before the end of May!

Beckham would have been a huge asset for us this Summer. Losing 1-0 with ten minutes to go, who better to bring on and knock some pin-point balls into the box for Crouchy and Rooney to finish off?

when it gets to the 60th minute against usa and lennon / swp / walcott once again cross a ball which fails to beat the first man, we'll all be wishin beckham was there. Rooney has just started bangin headers in and the only person capable of puttin it on his head was beckham

Who's set up Rooney's last 2 headed goals?

Gary Neville.

Beckham is the master of two things...........pinpoint crosses and freekicks around the box. He sticks to that and has no pretentions in any other department. That is why he has been such an asset to the teams he's played for, including England. It is also why he has lasted for so long at the top, his crosses are as good as ever.
He will be missed but we have to get on with it without him.
Mr Madjohn is spot on with his analysis of Wright-Phillips.

I think Beckham will be missed. Wayne Rooney and Peter Crouch would have loved having some of his deliveries into the box. Even if Beckham was a sub, it could have got us lots of goals.
