Richie Jones and Adam Boyd appear to be Turners 'easy targets' when it comes to making changes, every time it's going wrong those two get hooked. I didn't even have to check if they got subbed yesterday.

Jones will be dropped again next Saturday, which is absolutely pathetic given his form. Turner has no man management skills whatsoever and if he can't see a good player in Jones but can in certain others you really have to question his judgement. We're going to lose him in the summer after the way he has been treat in the last year. He was brilliant against Carlisle and Leeds yet he knows he's only a quiet half away from been hooked by the idiot, he's not even playing in his proper position.

I question why Turner even signed Boydy, he has got a clue how to get the best out of him, no idea. All I will say on the matter is what is the point in taking off your most likely scorer when you are chasing a game?

If Turner sits down at the end of this season and tells the chairman that he still believes he's the man to take the team forward, he has no self awareness and no love for the club. He is in it for himself, hopefully he can be honest about things.

Only one minor comment, we're losing on Friday night this week, and not on Saturday afternoon.

Great point PJ. During Turners first spell Boyd looked overweight and disinterested for many games flitting in and out when it suited and it wasn't until Cooper got hold of him kicked his arse and sent him to Boston that Boyd got a reality check. To me it seems Boyd needs a bit of tough love to get the best out of him and I don't believe CT can do this with any of the players. Remember Cyril Knowles sacking Don Hutchison for being a lazy, indisciplined numpty only to take him back and create a future international midfielder. Now that's man-management CT.

Agree with everything you said there Chip, I'm not defending C.T. but too many players have fallen well short of what's been expected of them this season, they can produce the odd good game in four but at this level that's nowhere near good enough.
For Professional footballers heads to drop after going one down (as happened yesterday) is unforgivable, they should know that without having to be constantly reminded.

I got told at half time that Jones was absolute dog shyte in the first 45 yesterday, wasn't interested and should be subbed.

It's OK blaming Turner for everything but the players seem to be getting off with a lot of the blame for this.

This time last season we were calling the defence and keeper worse than sh*t after conceding 55 goals in 35 games. We've now conceded 55 goals in 35 games and I've hardly seen a bad word said about Flinders, Collins, Lidds and Austin. Hartley has taken some flack and Austin is the only one that should be immune IMO.

Monky and Jones only turn up when they want yet are fans favourties, and this spell has seen Adam Boyd take over Andy Monkhouses role as 'most over-rated footballer to play for Pools'

The players need to get their fingers out ASAP, I don't rate the manager anymore than the next person but its about time they shoulder some responsibility for their inconsistent performances.

When you consider that we had Budtz and ALB in goal last season then it says little about our defence this term. I do think Flinders is looking dodgy but he isnt as bad as BUDTZ and ALB. Flinders and Hartley seem to be going backwards. I really do question our coaching at the club, it cant be just a lack of effort by the players. Flinders looked outstanding at first yet its almost as if we have brought him down to our level. I appreciate that confidence is a factor but we won our last two home games didnt we? Surely they should go to Yeovil with some confidence.

Surely this has to boil down to the manager and the way the players are being coached and managed sctatchinghead

I know how to use Boydy

As the crowd is likely to be low at our next home match there are going to be a lot of pies left at the kiosks.

Play him under the stand in a Sweeper role.
