Exocets are supplied by the French and they weren't in NATO then, the Yanks did supply the Sidewinders latest version, but come to that, they also supplied a lot of other gear which we bought off them ... and other countries.

That's what I thought, I knew the Exocet was a French missile, and presumed we would have only had them because we had bought them from them, along with something similar for the others.

So the answer to the original question was 'Yes we did sort out the Argies on our own'

In terms of forces we had zero help from the US. They supplied some sidewinders but only because we bought them from them as we had been doing for years.
