If he cuts out his mistakes and their car is as competitive as it was last year, I cant see past Vettel

Most consistant driver in F1 with no a half decent car it must be Alonso, think the biggest thing this season will be if this new "package" which is probably a new double diffuser will work on the Merc-Brawn car at the first grand prix.

Hamilton to win it this year if they get the car right no stopping him.

It's just a shame Stirling Moss is ruled out through injury.

More like an afternoon at Kwik Fit without the excitement. It's the only "sport" that makes premiership footballers look underpaid.

Standard comment from those who don't understand motor racing.

I admit I don't but how many poles, or teams on pole win the race?? Isn't that why there's more than usually a big pile up on bend one?? If you come off that in front you've got a better than fair chance of winning the race. That and having a good pit team. sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

I have to agree, if you finish in first position you usually win.

should a bit more exciting with the new points scoring system as well
no plodding round knowing that 2nd or 3rd would do

People are already writing Button off for this season but I think he'll piss it. Hamilton, and Alonso for that matter sling the car round the track, sliding everywhere. This season there is no refueling so the cars will be heavy. Button is ultra smooth ala Damon Hill and Alain Prost. That means he will make his tyres last far better and consequently go faster for longer. As for Schumy, it'll take him a few races to get into the swing of things and Vettel.... a dark horse for sure but I don't think the Red Bull will be as on the pace as it was last season.

And if you get first position on the first bend you'll probably finish first?? Why bother with the intervening 77 laps??

That's what bugs us uninformed like. Like watching the M25 on a Friday afternoon between the M3 and the A1, or the Dartford Bridge to the M23.

Maybe a bit faster, you can swerve all over the place but you get no further forward until someone has to pull off for petrol. confised

I don't take as much interest in F1 as the wife, so I'm surprised to hear mention of Schumacher. I thought he tried to make a comeback last year, when another guy was injured, and had to give up on the idea.

At the time he had a neck injury sustained in a German superbike championship race. It's better now.
