Southend were truly, truly rubbish like. just wait til you see our second goal to see how bad they were. O'donovan beat the offside trap, slowed down to walking pace, strolled into the box, had a cup of tea and a wank, then slotted the ball calmly home. Their defence, even at this point, hadn't even reacted.

A great 3 points, and thats now 7 goals against teams in the bottom half in the last 2 games.

Southend are poor but the number 12 Scannell is a player. He gave Austin a hard time for the first half hour on the wing, despite not looking like a footballer or a winger he continued to be the best player on the park second half in the centre of midfield.

Agreed - Southend were a poor side on the whole, but as someone has said Scannell looks a great prospect. Their other winger, when he wasn't diving, could also be a decent player if he sorted himself out. Worth keeping your eye on those two CT - especially if they go into financial meltdown and have to seel their players cheap....
