It's a very, very relevant thread I was about to post something similar.

He's been treat like shite, I mean dropping him after Mk Dons stpid I can name about six players who were worse that day.

He is a quality player who could turn into a class one, to let his contract run this close to it's conclusion is criminal. Clearly we have people who don't know a footballer when they see one.

Welcome win tonight, someone remind me did we try to sign their left back Horwood or am I imagining it?, second half he whipped in some nice crosses from just in front of us with his left peg.

Pick him up in the close season (as nobody lasts longer than 18 months in the wilderness that is Carlisle) move Hartley into the middle (as he is most definately not a left back), a bustling forward, and Roberts yer mutha's brother.

He is the type of player we should be building the team around. He is fast becoming an outstanding player.

Get him a lucrative contract on the table and put a gun to his head to make him sign it

Because one win makes their man management and football management skills any good?

I still want Turner and West to leave the club in the morning.

im sick of seeing our best players walking away from the club on free transfers, because nobody there has the fooking sense to offer them a contract during the season.

i dont know any other business that would operate this way.

and turner is a clown, the fact he had this kid on the bench for weeks while humps was waddling about in midfield tells you that.

clappp clappp clappp clappp clappp

Jonesy is the best player at the club FACT!!!

ive posted a lot of positive stuff on another thread, even talking about maybe getting to the play offs next season.

this kid jones, and he is just a kid dont forget, is in only his second full season. stil learning the ropes, still getting to grips with it.

he had a good first season in a struggling side, had some personal problems in the summer that he has put behind him, and is showing real potential.

remember in july when he put his transfer request in how many birdbrains on here were saying let him go, he's shyte ? uncle chip said back then, no, this lad is a proper footballer, he has to stay.

you mark my words in 3 or 4 years time, if he keeps grafting, this lad could be a really, really, good player, and i will be seriously pissed off if he goes somewhere like swindon in the summer. rage

You ain't the only person who thinks he is the best player at this club and I too have defended him to the hilt, in light of the usual from the usual.

jones is a class apart and don't forget he is supposed to be a centre midfielder so could still be not 100% comfortable on the right.

this is the type of player who can entertain the crowd and also do the hard work.
Just think if we put him in the centre with gamble; could be one hell of a centre midfield partnership

We should do everything possible to keep him, and none of this 2 yr contract bollocks, get him a long term one.

I can't understand how this guy hasnt been an ever present confised

Another note, o'donovan looked a decent player, and it did help boydy's game; the amount of space he found was amazing at certain times.

If O'Donovan plays like that get him signed up and we could have a seriously good midifeld and strike partnership next year.

Brown Jones Gamble Monkhouse
Boyd O'Donovan

With a good manager and couple of additions we could be challenging higher up the league.
