I've found a new national Football team

TURKMENISTAN are playing Korea DPR tonight.

When the F*** did they become a country never mind a football team. I'll presume it's an old USSR province.

Does it become TurkWOMENistan when the women play.

Turkmenistan is on the oldest countries in the world.
The Commies took over in the early 1920's before conceding power back in the early 90s, probably 91-92.

Turkmenistan is however one of the few remaining non-democracies in that part of the world.

Turkmenistan has links to Gengis Khan, the Mongols ,the Ozghur tribes & so on.

Wouldn't recommend it for a holiday like but it has plenty of history & has been around as long as Blighty.
