Without wanting to run the risk of offending any of the sensitive souls on here, what a shower of shite that organisation is.

I had the misfortune to be in James Cook Hospital last Wednesday to get an op on my gob (sorry, it aint gonna shut me up for all of those hoping for that outcome) and the way that they "organise" things and some of the staff in there really take the biscuit.

First off, I would like to point out that the surgeon, anaesthetist and some of the nurses were absolutely spot on, first class, brilliant. They were let down by the others though.

The way that they organise operations is all centred around what's best for making their life easy with no concern for patients or their families. Turn up at 12pm and we'll get around to you at some point during the day but no way will we tell you or your family remotely what time your op might be or when you might be able to go home. Just a case of sit there and be grateful that there's a hospital within a hundred miles of your house for you to attend.

After that clart on to top it off the two nurses "in charge" of the ward where I was were way too busy watching the telly behind their desk to do anything for the patients. I had to wait about three quarters of an hour and about 5 requests before I got painkillers. People in other beds had similar problems and I nearly had to help the bloke in the next bed to the bog cos it was way too much trouble for these lazy nurses. They were an absolute disgrace and it's a shame that they stick in the mind after how good the other medical staff I encountered that day were.

Yeah, I think we should put up with poor service in the NHS, as long as they do operations and stuff properly. It's not easy you know. Thanks Thatcher!

Am I stuck in a time warp and Thatcher is still in charge?

Have we not really had a Labour Government for the last 12 years?

We have and James Cook cook has improved a million times over in that period, I know, I was in and out of there and for five weeks last year and the treatment I got was top notch

When my mother was in there in 1995 it was dogshite from top to bottom

Do you not have health insurance (other than with the state)?

I would have thought it would be essential for a Tory.

Some people are in for the biggest shock of their lives when Mr Cameron and his cronies get to power..............believe me.

The single biggest failing that the NHS is guilty of is its inability to do memory jobs.

Thank God some of us still have memories.

Good on you.
I hope your memory serves you just as well in ten years time after Mr Cameron et al get their teeth into the NHS.

Don't worry about that, squire. disasterous private partnerships and projects and shoddy management are equally labour as they are tory when it comes to the NHS, and much else.
