It was at the Funeral of a mate of mine who was killed on exercise. The funeral was in Liverpool in an area called 'old swan' not sure if thats a real name or a nickname for the area. Anyway Tiddy (RIP) and Ian McC were mates as kids.

Both quality acts although the Bunnymen have aged better due to Ian McCulloch's and Will Sergeant's superior songs. If I was still in Hartlepool I'd be wetting meself at that prospect. clappp clappp

When they got to 'Nothing Ever Lasts Forever' I'd need tissues. :uhoh: :uhoh: bbolt

Did at Glastonbury anyway......

You can justify the Bunnymen despite the fact that McCullogh's hair was their best thing and now looks shyte. There is no defence for Ocean Colour Scene though. Why would anyone pay to see Paul Weller's worst ever backing band when even Weller himself is now crap? Or even stand and watch the feckers if it is free? I never use smilies but the elderly midland mods make me go rage

I'm looking forward to the Bunnymen. Not arsed at all about Ocean Colour Scene. According to the Mail, there is still a headline band on after Echo & The Bunnymen

Stornoway are also on like. They were quality at Green Man last year. Well worth checking out.

That's not a bad thing considering which bands are 'big' right now, surely. Would you prefer N-Dubz?

and I can't agree Ocean Colour Scene are dross, I've seen them twice at free festivals lately, not expecting much but they aren't half bad, even now - the guitarist is tremendous and they've got about half a dozen songs that stand the test of time. You can guarantee there will be hundreds of people there who know all the words.

Listen Nick, I saw Oasis SUPPORT Ocean Colour Scene!!! I rather like them, and would much rather watch them than n-dubz etc...I'm hoping for a current headlining band to grab peoples attention.

All I was getting at was Hartlepool Council will have got their collective brain together and they'll have had a 50 yr old and a 40-yr old on the team.

"Who's yer two best groups, lads??"

I was responding to previous posters saying that OCS were pap.

As for a 'current' headliner, who is there? Kasabian or Muse or something? U2? Springsteen?

I saw Ocean Colour Scene supporting the Soup Dragons, in fact I did a bit of promotion for the third band on that bill, Blab Happy who became Perfume and were on the Paul Weller bill at Finsbury Park and then promptly disappeared.

Point being, if two big name bands are playing in Hartlepool, what's the problem?? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

im suggesting a music festival should cater for people of all ages. sorry thats too difficult a concept for you to get your head around.

as for the rest of your post, i will be at the tranmere game in a couple of weeks time and will make a point of looking you up.

be careful about lobbing your knob out to prove him right/wrong chip
a) it might be cold
b) you might get locked up
c) he might be a fashion designer

For the record....I think thats a veiled threat and I read into it you intend violence. If however I'm wrong and you want to come and shake my hand and wish me well I'll be more than pleased for you to 'make a point of looking me up'.

Nah, I think he just wants to show you his penis, he's very proud of it and it's achievements. Roams the UK playing hide the sausage, apparently.

Chip, make sure you don't get your cock out outside the grid area, they're very astute at Tranmere about what is deemed a pitch view.

Kidder, wear rubber gloves.

He's old enough to know better, but not clever enough.

I think he's either lost at poker or poke her. Could be either.
