Even the text of the advert doesn't explicitly say that the job is to try to stop Domestic Violence. Also apparently only a woman is capable of doing the job.

"We are looking for two highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join Lambeth's dynamic domestic violence team. Working as part of the team, you will support agencies across the Borough to achieve key actions from our domestic violence strategy.

You will help us to make a real difference to the lives of the people we serve and support us to ensure that we deliver a co-ordinated community response to domestic violence in Lambeth.

Ref: ACS327

PO2: £32,532 rising in annual increments to £35,055 pro rota pa incl. LW

21 hours per week

As the Domestic Violence Trainer you will be responsible for developing and implementing a multi-agency domestic violence training programme for the voluntary, community and statutory sectors in Lambeth. This includes training professionals to ensure that people receive a consistent and high quality response from domestic violence services across the partnership. You will have proven experience of commissioning and delivering training programmes for professionals and the general public and in developing training materials. You will have demonstrable experience working within the domestic violence sector, of report writing and of working in a multi-agency setting.

This post is based at a centre that deals only with female victims of domestic violence.

As a result this post is only open to female applicants, pursuant to Section 7(2)(d) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975."

Surely real breast-feeding co-ordinators are called 'babies' aren't they? confised

One of the first things that happened to me on the maternity ward was an argumentative visit from a pretend breast-feeding co-ordinator. She said you didn't cuddle the baby while feeding, you laid the baby on the bed beside you....'less tiring' apparently.
Naturally she wasn't a parent herself.
