According to 5 'used to be good, but are now just as biased as SKY and Alan Green is a silly boy' Live said Easter played for SpennyYakker, on loan from us

Watched the match, he scored a goal ...and that was his contribution. The way the commentators were bulling him up was pathetic.

Don't get me wrong, I have no axe to grind with the lad, but if the commentators hadn't kept talking him up you wouldn't have noticed him at all.
The goal has probably banged up his value a bit more and some desperate manager in the championship will probably be tempted in the transfer window no doubt.

I know a lad who was in the very Spennymoor team that he refused to play for!!

To be honest every time he featured under Cooper he wasn't good to enough get a game for Spenny, remember against Brighton at the Vic when the ball tackled him three times!? He was only on ten minutes and he should have been subbed!!

Fair play though he has scored 19 goals this season, but it still wasn't the wrong decision to get rid, he is 24 and its the first good season he's had. He always had something but I have the feeling it would have never happened for him at the Vic.

It has to be remembered that he NEVER started a senior game at Pools. He did while he was on loan to Cambridge but his *total* number of league starts is still only 75 in three years.
35 goals from 75 starts sounds like good form to me, but he has only really started knocking them in regularly since the beginning of last season after Stockport signed him in summer 2005. He has NEVER scored at a higher level than division four in the league.
Cup games are of course a different matter and he seems to excel in those.

But by and large no regrets.

My comments regarding Easter refer only to last nights match .. I happen to think he got a raw deal from certain 'supporters' on the terraces.
