Re-Formatting!!!!

Can someone please give me a step by step guide on how to re-format a PC please!!!! confised

you will need a operating system disc, possibly a windows98 disc to DOS as DOS is not part of a NT operating system (vista, xp, 7)

Why do you want to format? its not very easy for a novice (if you are one) you can encounter quite a few problems. Are you sure you havent got a partition on your computer which will let you restore to factory settings and self install windows again?

Then put your disc in and reboot, it will give you option to format during the installation.

dead easy especially if the machine is still the same as when you bought it.. put your discs in and windows does the rest all menu driven not like the old days when you needed to understand dos commands .. the only grief you may get is if you need to get hold of some drivers but even then its not too hard.. try the discs first any chew shout out I'm sure someone will be able to help..

I've just had a look at a few forums and they all say that Vista is a kunt to re-format....especially if it's on a Dell PC!!!! banghead
