Ian Clark is the only person I know who got booed on his debut.

He was about 8 clem ringing wet and had a ginger mullet, he looked about as far away form a footballer as it's possible to. I've never heard as big a collective "who the fooks this?".

Chris Freestone - great display against Scarboro then it's like he had his football ability sucked out and replaced with concrete

I think that was more to do with the fact that Mick Tait brought him, he missed a sitter and a certain Jan Ove Pedersen was left on the subs bench....

Martin Scott.

How many times did him and Neale Cooper get sent to the stands that season for haranguing the referee's?? How we cheered and applauded, as they climbed the steps, grinning and laughing.

Six months later we all hated the bastad ((c)ADG).

Alan Murray - Promotion - 10th in first season in 3rd tier - Longest stretch without a goal - sacked - Darlo - sacked.

That is pretty bad - sublime to ridicule

I may be wrong (probably am) but was Murray in charge during that goalless streak? I was thinking it was Viv Busby for some reason

It all started after we beat Palace in the cup then we lost the magnificent Dean Emerson to a broken cheek bone in a 0-0 against Preston, a game we should have won, and then failed to score for a long long stretch. I think Murray was in charge for 10 then Busby took us on to the record. I wish we had Emerson in the middle with Gamble now and with Andy Saville up the front.
