So Norwich are sorry...............bloody wonderful.
No mention of 450 tickets only then.
No mention of moving barriers then.

The Norwich fans who came on here spouting that the policy was common knowledge are obviously wrong...............surprise surprise.

As for the Pools fans who were quick to jump to Norwich City's defence........................re arrange the following.

on face egg.

Judging by the deafening silence from the fans concerned, I suspect a clandestine agreement has been reached.

Norwich probably think we should just be eternally grateful that they let us visit their massive club. Yet another instance of a big club treating a smaller club like SH*T. sadx

Nah...let's not get into all this again. It was probably no more than a cock-up.

You mean like the stadium announcers volume, anything to do with Hartlepool United was as clear as a 1980's train station announcer, for anything Norwich City related you didn't even need to be in Norfolk to hear it.

We'll never get to the bottom of what happened and its a fair bet that a number of incorrect assumptions were made. That aside, the important point is that those who were refused entry deserve to be compensated. You can't spend a vague apology.

Rest assured however there will be no apology from ncfc as it is quiet obviously hufc's fault for not telling it's fans how many tickets were available.

Theres no mention of any apology on their website.

It's a start innit, do you think they've been reading The Bunker?

If they have then their next announcement can be which night this week they're keeping the ticket office open til 9pm for people who work during the day to buy tickets for the Leeds match.

The statement is on the Pools website Ms Grabec, hence my post.

Why would Norwich be expected to put details of our ticketing arrangement on their website.

Unless we were playing them and they had some odd policies which they might want to let people know about... bbolt

The Mail should get on the case.

They can interview Mr Crimes aswell as Pools and Norwich, try and get to the bottom of things from all sides, would be a better front page than some that they have!

Someone from Pools or Norwich or both should compensate those who were locked out. It wouldn't cost much, after all according to the official statement it was only 'several' not 20-30, just a 'small number'.

Well what do you think they should say?
If they had been told that the tickets were limited to the bundle they received, don't you think they would have told us that.
It's only yesterday that you locked a thread because of twaddle.............and now you're spouting it.
Oops sorry...............I shouldn't have said that................carry on sir. (doffs cap and touches forelock)

Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the Norwich fans told us there were tens of thousands of them clamouring for tickets and yet two Poolies walked up to the ticket office, just before the game, and got two.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.

No good ever comes from shagging turkeys.

Based on the announcement on the website, it appears that I was wrong in my blame of the club, and I apologise. I did subsequently say that we should await announcements on the matter, but that doesn’t hide the fact that I judged the club prematurely.

Chip – Thank you for implying that I was hiding following the announcement. In actual fact, I’ve just looked at the board for the first time today.

I can, at least, hold my head high knowing that I was not abusive to the Norwich fans that came on the site.

That's the main point isn't it.

I've read a lot of arrogance from Norwich fans claiming their ticketing arrangements are 'common knowledge' and that the Pools fans were stupid for turning up without tickets.

This was clearly a communication problem at Norwich City. A proper apology would be nice.

Quite correct. You were not abusive to any Norwich fans. Well done.

I still think your response was unnecessary, but I apologise for saying you were being a dick over it.

Does anyone else want an apology whilst I'm on? No, not you, Mrs Terry.

Without wishing to appear poacher-turned-gamekeeper, I do hope some heavy pressure will be applied on Norwich to recompense those locked out.

Hi everyone.

I must say I'm disappointed in my club if what is included in that statement is true. I am sure it is a case of miscommunication rather than malice, but still, pretty poor. :uhoh:

I don't think my conduct on your forum yesterday warranted the abuse I received. I stuck up for my club based on the information they have fed the fans over a number of years, who on here can honestly say they wouldn't stick up for their club in the same circumstances? (Ignoring Waldo obviously).

I shalln't be back on here. There's not really anything to be said and it's pretty clear non-poolies aren't welcome anyway!

If we see you again next season (I'm certainly not counting my chickens yet) I hope you'll all come down to Norwich, I doubt anyone who went found the city an unwelcoming place.

Oh....and thanks for the 6 points

I was one of those locked out.
I went into Pools office on Friday to buy match tickets & Norwich had recalled all unsold tickets & had told Pools ticket office to inform fans that we could pay on the gate.
That is why I blame Norwich & not Pools.
It is not based on hearsay or assumptions,it actually happened to me personally.

Several people texted me to tell me during the game to say there were empty seats in the away end.
It looked to me like the printer had ran out of blank tickets & they just couldnt be arsed to print any more so turned us away.

I also didn't get to see the match.
I had booked a place for transport and had paid for my lodgings for the evening in Norwich.
I am far from happy and wish to be included with others for a refund:)

Stayed there before the game & went back there after we were turned away.

The idea of being reimbursed sounds appealing but I cant see it happening.
Norwich wont reimburse us,they couldnt care less about us.
Pools cant be expected to reimburse us,it wasnt their fault, they just followed Norwichs instructions.
On top of that, any Tom,Dick or Harry could go to Pools & claim they were one of those turned away.

Oh....and thanks for the 6 points

and yet he's still logged in.......

non poolies are welcome on here btw, we have wallsall [semi] regulars, leeds, darlo........err you....

Hi everyone.

I must say I'm disappointed in my club if what is included in that statement is true. I am sure it is a case of miscommunication rather than malice, but still, pretty poor. :uhoh:
