Sad I know, but I watched that game last night.

It was shite. No, sorry, it was worse than that. Utter utter garbage. (I assume utter utter garbage is worse than shite?)

But it did give me a crumb of comfort or two.

It highlighted just how much better we are compared to the best in league two. I certainly wont be complaining about the quality of football we are trying to play again.

And, should the worst happen, and we go down, and IOR, are true to their word, long term, we will have no problem in bouncing staright back, provided we keep the majority of the squad together.

It really was awful.

Concuring with the utter garbage bit..............at least what I saw of it.............I got fed up after thirty minutes.
I really don't want to go back to that division.
Sorry if that sounds pompous but I think I've had my fair share of fourth division football. I would like to stay away from that division for as long as possible.
Back to the game......The strips were too similar for me.........had difficulty with that............maybe that had something to do with the enjoyment level.............or lack of it.

there was ateam we played at home last season whose shirts were very similar to the refs and linesmen and in the second half the ref and linesmen changed to a different colour,so why did'nt they have a different strip and why did'nt the ref notice it

I watched every minute of it and it was utter, utter crap. And just think on, Darlington are BOTTOM of that division.

The pitch was a joke, and a three-pass move was a rarity.

The match had nothing. Dreadful.

Aye, they'll never play us again Elvis. bbolt

The pitch was crap, but only by todays standards.
I remember when Derby County were champions of England. They would have been over the moon if the Baseball Ground had a pitch like that.
For about three months of each season the only grass on most pitches was down the wings.
David Foley wouldn't have got a game in those days....

It certainly was - the only interesting part was how Howard Webb let the Stoke centre-halves manhandle and assault Kenwynne Jones for most of the game without penalising them once. So, in that respect it was also akin to rugby for a lot of the game as well.

The only bit of interest in that Premiership game, you know the best league in the world, the crown jewels of football, was Lee Cattermole and Dean Whitehead kicking lumps out of each other.

Just how many Premiership teams are really worth paying to watch? I'll stick with me lower league stuff thanks, at least it's honest and you don't get Chris Sausage boy Waddle banging on about shirt pulling at set pieces......big girl. To think it was between him and CT who got the managers job back in '99........

Yes it was an awful game and yes we are bottom but we have been shite all season!! The Bury pitch is always awful but they play to suit it. Rochdale do like to knock it around and the pitch wont have helped. Bear in mind though when teams come to your place they are playing on a decent surface so teams like Rochdale will be in their element. As for Jason Kennedy, he was for the best part average for us, used to play well on telly though. Hes one player I wasnt arsed about losing. He wouldnt even stand out in our current team.
