Far from it. I'm still in a state of shock after Saturday. rage

My present state of mind about pools is "so what" and indifference. I watched football Special last night and when Charlton scored I shrugged my shoulders and went by to my revision. I'm probably at the point now were I was in February 2005 just before Scott was sacked.

I will continue to go for the rest of this season and use the rest of my season ticket. After that no thanks if Turner is still around. It will not be 43 years.

I don't know what I would do with myself if I didn't go to Pools home matches. So even if I don't have a season ticket, after this one is finished, I will still be there. I was thinking about asking for my ashes to be spread in the Town End goal area, it will be the nearest I ever got to scoring on the hallowed turf.

ps can somewhere make sure I'm dead before PC makes the arangements.

I may well be going to Bristol on Saturday after discussions at the Yoofs last night.

And if anyones at my funeral, could you make sure they play "Who Put Sugar In My Tea" as the curtain closes?

Cheers.

The nearest I came to scoring on The Vic was hitting the Rink End post (Clarence Rd side) with a Free-Kick in 1992. I went off after 80 minutes and 2 minutes later we got a Penalty, which had I been still on I would have fought anybody to take.

Ah Well...

The bigger problem I will have, having thought a little bit about it, is I don't intend to be cremated (what will happen once I have gone is a different matter). Do you think they would bury me 6 feet down in the 6 yard box?

I'll be at all the remaining home games, a few away games hopefully and will certainly be back next season, however this one concludes.

Fair play to you's.

Me dad said to me years ago that Pools, and any other football club, don't really care what season ticket holders and people who attend every week regardless of situation think about how they do things cos they've got your money anyway so they'll only listen to those who are prepared to vote with their feet. I used to think that he was just a cynical old git, but as I get older (and maybe more cynical myself?) I can see his point. Especially at the moment with Pools, heightened by the way that Turner is slagging off the fans and trying to create an "us and them" atmosphere instead of trying to get everybody pulling in the same direction. The only thing that'll divert the current Pools hierarchy from their plans and aloofness is, rightly or wrongly, a fall in crowds otherwise they'll carry on regardless in a smug "we're better than you and you've gotta go along with us cos we said so" attitude.

So when you post on here how you'll be going to every match cos it's in the best long term interests of the club just bear that in mind and consider if you're acting in the best interests of the club or the best interests of those running the club.

Hope that helps.

I'm a Pools fan, not an anti-Turner fan. I'll be there as long as chip.
