Manure parent company debts have rised to over $700m, hopefully they will have to sell all their best players

its very very rare for the owners of a football club to borrow money from the club to use for other business interests.

indeed not so long ago it would have been illegal.

the glaziers only other going concern is ownership of the tampa bay bucs, a declining nfl franchise that didnt even spend the money allowed it ( or come close ) by the salary cap. that is also a rarity.

after offloading tevez and ronaldo to rival teams they are now reduced to taking the carling cup seriously. they wont go bust, but as i said last year their days as the biggest club in manchester may be coming to an end.

man u won the carling cup last season, were they not taking it seriously then?

by the sounds of it barry is saying that you only hate man utd the most because they are the biggest and most successful. A bit like why a lot of people start supporting them.

That how it sounded to me anyway

Yeah, but you're a Manure fan so you're bound to think along those lines. Maybe you've found a mate?

Be careful what you wish for.

If these clubs can go bust then so can lower league clubs, ie us.

There's a scenario developing here where if everyone's wishes come true, the only football club left will be HUFC and then they can win everything and have lots of rides in an open top bus.

The games might be a bit boring like.

IDIOT Alert!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a Cambridge folk, I happen to live here I am from Hartlepool.

If you knew anything about football you would know why people hate manu and most of the "big 4" in the Prem, but maninly manure. They are the cancer of lower league and the football league leaving us to fight over pennies. If they had there way there would be prem one and prem 2 with only one promoted from the "rest".

no its the boltons and the smaller prem teams who want a prem1 and a prem2. Therefore guaranteeing them safety from 'oblivion'.

that is why i support Hartlepool, I don't know much about footie.
sorry for calling you a prick, you are a Pools fan, and alright by me !
I live in Leigh, only 7 miles from Wigan. There is a BIG local rivalry over the Rugby League sides, even though they always 'thrash' us, and we hardly ever play them. Not too bothered about their 'footie' team, no Wiganer's (or pie eaters) play for them.
Man U are my favourite premiership side, only 12 miles from Leigh, and I used to go watching them occasionally with my Dad in the late 1970's. My last visit to Old Trafford, was in 2002, watching Hartlepool lose 3-2 in the FA Youth Cup - cracking game that was !!

think the crowd was about 3500, looked about 500 in that stadium !
I honestly didn't like Man U for a couple of weeks, their fans near me were really arrogant.

I can't stand the club, but to be fair that's only because it's evil. If it wasn't evil I might warm to it a little more
