Geoff Boycott was calling him all the names under the sun yesterday on five live.. Sound as though he thinks he's bigger than the game..

It now appears that the third umpire didn't have any sound on the replay so he couldn't hear the obvious nick on the bat.

You couldn't make it up.

according to talk sport there is going to be a meeing with regard to smith in/out and the umpires decision.

It's one of the most laughable things I've ever heard.

Apparently the volume setting on Harpers monitor was on 4 out of 10. He is using the technology to try and detect a a edge, they can give it out on sound and he had the volume on less than half rolfl

Did anyone else hear Michael Vaughan talking about Richie Humphreys on Test match special earlier? Surely the first ever mention of Pools or a Pools player on TMS!?

Not sure if you can, he just started talking about him during the commentary I'm not even sure why I didn't catch the beginning. I heard him say something along the lines of;

"One of my best mates Ritchie Humphreys has played nearly 500 games in the football league, he used to play for Wednesday but he played mostly for Hartlepool he also used to be a forward but last time I saw him he was playing full back"

Can you listen again to the commentary?

I think Vaughan was at the play-off final in 2005 as well.

Heard why Vaughan was talking about Mr I's mate on TMS.

Aggers commented on a Pools flag being unveiled in one of the stands and MV said "One of my best mates plays for Hartlepool"

People are going on about reviews but the on field umpires keep getting decisions wrong. That was a massive inside edge the ball actually deflected, the umpire should not miss that.

Are they concentrating less becuase this review is in place to fall back on?
